Here's an update on the ferret found in Baldwin... the woman who found him
called me tonight to ask for the cage, which I happily brought over with a
hammock and more advice.
 
Seems that the ferret has charmed them (how not?), that they realized he was
unhappy not being able to see out of the box, and that they are beginning to
become his slaves.  They do let him out to play and enjoy his antics and
cuddling with him, and in addition to contacting me for assistance have also
been to a pet store with a good reputation for ferret expertise in order to
learn more about their new buddy.
 
To everyone who has been so helpful with advice, thanks again, and I think
that the ferret has landed in a good place after all.....(and still no one
has called me to claim him, so I wonder if this is one of those stories
where an unwanted ferret has ended up becoming very wanted!)
