My husband and I had the same problem with our fuzzies and it was next to
impossible to even hold them when they knew it was coming! But we found a
solution. FERRETVITE!!! The stuff is a miracle worker. We take the
ferretvite and put it just out of reach on Loki's belly and he is so intent
on getting to the treat that we can do just about anything. Once Loki got
used to the sound of the clippers either one of us could do it by ourselves,
no problem.

Ferretvite is an 8 in 1 product and anyplace that sells ferret products
usually has it. Mark and I live in Italy right now and we order our
products thru Discount Master Pet Catalog but in the States we always got
everything at PetSmart.

Ferretvite is also great when you are going to the Vet for shots; you put a
little bit on your finger and the Vet can give shots with absolutely no
problem.

My husband also wanted me to add that you really need a good set of nail
clippers. We used our regular nail clippers for a long time but their nails
were always splitting. We bought a small clipper made for cats and it works
great; no more split nails.

Good Luck!

Amy, Mark, Loki and dearly departed LaNeige
