So, for mothers' day I get the bad ferret-mommy award of the year!  I just
found Kato sleeping in the ivy under my front porch!  Now, they have a
jungle gym of a cage in the back yard, a labyrinth of tubes and tunnels and
towers, a Rube Goldberg ferret cage, and 7 fuzzies live there together.
After work, I feed them at dusk.  One day last week, Kato must have made a
break for it and not been collected!  Stupid me for not counting noses!  He
smells like earth instead of ferret.  The front walkway is all tunneled
under.  The other ferrets act like he's a stranger, running after him and
sniffing him, but I counted, there are 7, and the found ferret is Kato!  So
lucky for him that he didn't get eaten by a hawk.  Or run over.  He must
have just hung out with the cats.I must now perform some type of penance-any
suggestions?
