Hi all.
        To Bruce on animal research:
I don't mean to start a battle of good vs. evil here. However, just because
research is done on animals doesn't mean it is all bad. Coco's vet did
research on ferrets. She grew to love them and now has two of her own. This
makes a better ferret vet than one that doesn't a ferret from a skinny cat.
So ease up on bashing animal research. Animal research is just like any other
endeavor we humans undertake: it is only as good as the individuals carrying
it out. I'll stop here before I write another ten pages on the subject... :)

To Laura:
You mentioned that you would recommend minks for someone with energy
and not much of a carpet. What did that mean? And where can one get a mink? If
ferrets can get along with minks, I would be cool to own one.
I guess you have a point about MF. I didn't know where Coco came from
(I bought her at a pet shop) until I read about the two dots on the ear. I
thought they were just cute birthmarks **chuckle**. I agree with you 100%

To Cindy about her little ones:
Sorry to hear they are gone. Coco now responds to my voice so I don't
have to put a treat in front of her. I give it to her after she sits up. I try
not to think of what will happen when hse is gone...

I love that story Linda told about Olly. Hee, Hee... People here at the lab
think i am crazy laughing at the computer. Coco seems to like orange juice,
but hates the tanginess in it so she takes a lick, shakes her head, takes a
lick, shakes her head, etc... I don't give it to her any more.

Hey Paul, sounds like you got a full house there... :)

With all this MF bashing/supporting etc. I have a solution. Albeit
impractical, sounds like it could work if someone had the resources to do it.
The idea would be for a bunch of ferret lovers get together in a business
venture, be it partnership or corporation, and breed ferrets the right way and
with all the appropriate post-sale support. The ferrets would be delivered
with information sheets/booklets written by people that actually know
something about ferrets. The shops would then be informed about the proper
care while ferrets are in stock( i.e. cages in the store) and other stuff. I'm
sure they are ignorant and once informed, would like to protect their
investment. The business could do right all these things that MF is doin
wrong. However, ...SIGH... until that day comes, we have to live with what
there is now.
Later.
Enrique
