My husband and I are going on vacation to Europe from June 2 - 13 and are
worried about leaving our ferrets at home. We do have a friend who will
come each day to feed them and our cats, but we do not know where to put
the ferrets. We have a 4-story cage for them, but I don't think we
should leave them in there the whole time. Both ferrets (but especially
our oldest, a male who is 3) wreck havoc more and more as they get older.
They have places & corners where we put down puppy pads, but they are now
just doing their business anywhere and everywhere they see fit. We've
even had to make it a habit to shut all the bedroom and bathroom doors so
that they don't wreck havoc in those rooms with the carpet (our living
room and kitchen are wooden floors). I know that this behavior is in a
ferret's nature, but I don't want our pet-sitter friend to have to deal
with these problems, as she is doing the pet sitting as a favor.

If anyone has advice for what to do with the ferrets while we are on
vacation, please contact me. Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,
Jennifer
