Greetings-
two quick notes-
the ferrets referred to in the Dune books are for rodent control, not for
stopping intruders.  They had much bigger guards for that :) Also, the
ferrets referred to in the Twin Peaks series occured after Ben Horne
recovers from his small psychosis, he decides to stop the Ghostwood Estate
project by bringing up the topic of the endangered species, the Pine Weasel.
There is great picture of a ferret, a stuffed ferret (I think its a ferret,
could be an actual weasel) and a show where the townspeople are putting on a
fashiion show- they bring out a 'Pine Weasel' (actually a cute little
ferret), who bites the nose of the MC and then goes about wreaking havok
amongst the fashion show audience.  There are some hilarious shots of the
ferret bouncing after people in typical ferret fashion.
