Hello FML,

Of the six ferrets I have had, only two remain. I just lost Leah (she
was 8 years old) and now fear that something might be wrong with my 5 1/2
year old Chico. The last couple of weeks he has been bumping into
things, as if he cannot see where anything is in front of him. He even
bumps into my feet when he comes into the kitchen for his treat. Thought
maybe it might be cataracts, or maybe he really is just going blind
because of his age? He has always been very healthy and has not had
any major illnesses.

He also has lost some weight and just doesn't seem his perky self. I
thought some of that might be because he is confused on not being able to
see as good and that might depress him. Anyone have any thoughts? I am
calling tomorrow to make an appointment for him with the vet. Anyone
have any fuzzies display similar symptoms/depression with a fuzzy who
might be losing their vision?

Thank you!
Warm *fuzzy* hugs!
