*IF* the last 2 weeks will be any indication of how this year will be for
me/the shelter, we're in BIG trouble!!!!!
 
So tonight, i'm cooking some goo (found mom's old recipe) for Fleur
and Sugar.  I keep hearing popping noises and this odd smell.  At 1st
i thought is was drunk roommate's meat grease in the stove (as a
vegetarian, i'm not used to the smell).  Then the 2 burners i was
using stopped working!
 
I also had something in the oven for tomorrow's shelter-clean-up party.
It *looked* like it was cooking.....i called my other roommie to have a
sniff and he confirmed it smelled electrical....Then the oven stopped
working too.  SO, now we need a new stove as well.  To top things off
nicely......
 
i heard a banging noise while i was freaking over the stove.  i followed
it and well, it was coming from the refrigerator.  Looks like that will
be dying soon too.  Pretty soon we'll be without a washer/dryer and
fridge/stove.  i'm laughing right now, eating my 1/2 cooked dinner.  i
have to smile cuz it just doesn't seem possible that all of this could
happen in one shelter in the 1st 2 weeks of the year.  What are the
odds?  LOL!  Just gotta laugh!
