I have two offerings for you 1) Ewoks: the friendly fuzzies are the pets of
the Child like tribe.  A book - Thornyhold by Mary Stewart - 2 working
ferrets are a young mans pets.  In both my references the ferrets are
featured as friendly domestic animals.  The worst that is said is that if
hurt they may nip.
