    Dear Kathleen;

    I've heard that it is possible for a ferret (skunk also, I've actually
seen this)., that has lost a longtime companion, that they can actually
grieve themselves to death. I've seen people suggest in a similar
situation to get another fuzzy quick. A visit to the vet to see that
nothing else is going wrong would also be prudent. Since last week Nermal
kitty died, I took Jimmy, 2 yrs older, to a vet knowledgable in homeopathy,
herbs, & acupuncture as well as "regular" DVM stuff, & he immediately said
Jimmy was grieving. He gave me drops for her & yesterday she seemed to
play & run around like a kitten again. I'm not sure, but I think she could
be chasing Nermal around like they used to.

   Hope that helps, Take care, Gary
