My 4 year old ferret Eddie has started losing his fur.  Our vet here isn't
very familiar with ferrets but knew right away what was going on.  He
referred me to a Dr. in Lake Charles, who did some researching and
contacted the vets at LSU for me..  after all of this he called and said
his only recommendation for Eddie was surgery..  I am really worried about
this..  He told me that it really is a 50/50 shot..  I would hate to put
Eddie through all of that and him just die anyway..  Then there is the
money issue..  my husband is in the military and the money just doesn't
stretch that far..  I would really appreciate any of you sending me your
success stories..  it really would help me make this difficult decision..
