To Selena Simonetti:
I spent US$ 110.00 to ship two pet carriers

1 medium size with 4 ferrets that were about 3 months old
1 small size with a parrot

from Orlando Fla to Italy.

I used Delta Air Cargo: they are not allowed to ship animals if the origin
and destination temperatures are too high or too low (I don't remember
exactly but I think it's over 85 and under 35, you should check it). They
travel in a temperature controlled cabin (like for passengers) with light
but of course no attendant. We checked other airlines but most of them did
not seem to be as organized as Delta Air Cargo. They gave us flight numbers
(from Orlando to New York City and from New York City to Milan) and
timetable like regular passengers! We had a technical problem so the
shipment was delayed 24 hours, but they are very organized: they have a
"specialist" who takes care of animals and a specific area. I called this
specialist and he was very careful and asked my permission to let the
ferrets play in his office.

My ferrets arrived the next day in perfect condition which was more than I
could say for myself.

Selena could you please give me the address to a horse mailing list that I
saw you referred to in a previous post?

Ciao
Roberto
