Hi there!

I bought/rescued a 1-2 yr old male 2 weeks ago. His first owner was afraid
of him and never let him out, and the second owner was just clueless in
general. They fed him once a day (this is a 4 lb guy), there was nothing to
sleep on in the cage, he was their two year old's toy, etc. He is very good
natured, doesn't bite and gets along with dayton, a 1 lb ?yr old female.
The problem is trying to litter train him. He has no concept of going in a
box, on paper, let alone in a corner. He goes on his blankets in the cage
at night (much to dayton's chagrin, I'm sure) and even on his food and water
dishes. I am in the process of trying new litters and bigger boxes, but
this is pretty frusterating. The worst part is now dayton is starting to go
where he goes. Anybody have any suggestions?
He is fixed too.
