Hi all you happy ferret lovers!
 
Jerimiah here, the cute mascot of Ferret Wise Shelter.  You know the kid
with the splash of hershey's chocolate milk on his side, the chief
cheerio's stealer, yeah -- things are looking up here for sure!
 
Those new kids, the boys who got tutored this week, in just a few days time
that tutoring does somethin' ya know?  They is MUCH much smarter now.  They
finally got to play in the BIG room where I could coach them from my cage.
They all came over to say hi on shelter helper night-- and I coached them
good!  While the new folks was being shown how to do stuff in the shelter--
they let the young boys out-- the chocolate color ones, that is.  They was
real happy to run all over the place- and tear through the big rice box the
folks was cleaning and cleaning and cleaning some more!  There was a young
gal who came with the grown ups her job was to pla with everyone.  Of
course they only lets her play with some ferrets, cuz a few are not socal
yet.  But these boys had a great time.  The water bowls were refreshed,
food bowls too.  Many many of the cages got stripped _ thank goodness mine
was spared.  The I heard the gal say look at this boy-- he has been playing
in the water he is all wet.  Shelter Mom looked down the room and said--
hmmm, is there a water bowl down there?  Then the gal picked this kid up he
was covered in-- "Ferretone" she hollers!  Yeah-- I got caught again-- so
Mom says please check behind the tubes to see if there is any contraband
with the toys.  Yep, theys found the big 16 oz bottle of ferretone which I
stole from the nail clipping chair- well they found it minus the cap I was
able to get off after dragging it around for a day!  It was not a hard
task, Mom had finished every body's nails -- I KNEW she wouldn't look for
it for a few days-- it almost worked.
 
Oh Those new kids, foiled again!  Gosh , I wanted to teach them--BUT, I
didn't expect they could get me in trouble so soon!  So guess what -
someone got a bath -- my ferretone bottle got stolen away-- and I got
caught!  Well the folks had to clean extra ( now I don't have a treat stash
out there) so they all had to come back the next day ( Friday) to finish
the newsletter mailing.  Mom wanted to get everyone plenty of notice on the
open house and the neat raffles they are having that day.So that got done
Friday-- but they didn't spend extra time in the shelter-- instead they
went next door to Ferrets Lodge where all the neat hammies are and such- I
am sure I could have helped a lot with newsletters - I like lots of papers!
Anyhow the mailings got done and Mom sighed a big sigh of relief.  I guess
she has to get the holiday cards going soon-- but I am sure I will get to
help with that chore :)

contest.  All the folks that came voted and the featured picture is the one
everybody picked.  I think this looks like so much fun-- riding on a sled
in the snow!  HI girls-- take me with you???
 
The kids is doing fine that had surgery another gal goes on Weds for her
haircut Mom is calling her Emily-- she is turning out to grow to be a
pretty big gal!  And CUTE too!-- and they all get vaccinated too next week.
On Monday my cage buddy Rex and Sterling go to see the shelter vet for
their checkups and regular shots.  While they are gone with shelter Mom , I
will see what I can stash for the next time -- and make sure the youngsters
don't find it!!!
 
Shelter Dad is designing a neat ferret room for shelter friends that are
moving up-- when he is done I have a few projects for him to do here too!
Make sure you check out the neat things at ebay - more ferret toys, beds
and such go up every day!
