I have seen this behavior before. It happens when a ferret has not been
fed regularly. They will stash food for those times when they don't get
any. I took in a little girl who did this for several months before she
finally learned that food would always be there for her. She stashed a
ton of food under a bed. I don't think it will hurt to remove some of
it but I would not remove all of it. She will just stash more. Try to
live with it until she finally quits doing it.
