I'm just going to clarify a few things regarding selling my paintings,
due to some questions.

Litterbox blues:
The first is shipping. One person from Virginia contacted me and ask me to
check prices for her. So for Litterbox Blues, ground shipping by Purolator
or UPS is about $27 CDN to that particular location. Actual price will
probably vary a bit. The painting weighs about 11 lbs and I estimated it
to be 17 lbs (bit high) with packing, size 30 x 40 x 2 inches. You may
want to call and get an estimate of your own. My postal code is N2L 6E5.
I live in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

Courier companies will NOT insure fine art. I'm told that Air Canada will
ship and insure antiques, so they might do the same for paintings, but I
will have to find out first, and costs will be higher.

Regarding the pricing for the painting. I've checked with my fine art
professors regarding pricing, and they have told me that student art
generally sells for between $200-$400, based on size, medium. The price
will go higher if I'm more attached to the painting (i.e. I'd rather have
the painting than the money). Each painting cost about $100 to produce,
art supplies are NOT cheap. A good way to think of the price is probably
$100 for the materials, and about $5-10 for each hour I worked on it.

Litterbox blues was set at $500 because my dad offer me $500 for it. He
knows I intend to auction it for ferret charities and was going to raise
his price to $700. I would prefer to sell it to ferret people, but because
of his offer, I have decided that I won't sell it unless someone equals
my dad's offer. If I don't manage to sell it, my dad will get it for
christmas (he doesn't know this), I won't accept money from him.

War Dance:
I will put up an auction for War Dance, perhaps when the Litterbox Blues
auction is over. War Dance will probably have a starting bid of $350 CDN.

War Dance is more problematic in terms of shipping. it is 4 by 5 feet,
and is canvas on frame so it is harder to ship. (Litterbox blues is on
masonite, essentially a hard board, so it is unlikely to damage in
shipping). To ship without damage, it will either have to go in a crate,
or I can unframe it and ship the canvas, the buyer will have to reconstruct
the frame locally. Either will be expensive. So for War Dance, it is
much better for pick up and delivery if possible.

Ferrets in the Sky:
Quite a few people expressed an interest in buying this painting, but it
is also my favorite ferret painting, so I won't part with it for a few
hundred. I think I can be persuaded to part with it for a donation of a
few thousand to ADV or something, but I'm not sure people are willing to
pay that kind of price. So for now, I am not selling it.

I'm also working on more ferret paintings right now, and if all goes well,
I hope to sell them to raise funds for ferrets as well. Thank you for
taking an interest in the paintings, regardless of your decision to bid
or not. feel free to email me with questions.
