****UPDATE ON DAKOTA****
I called the emergency vets this morning at 6:00am, the vet was busy so i
talked to the vet tech. He said Dakota was doing better, his diarrhea had
stopped, but his poop was pretty "soft". He ate at 4:00am, and was walking
around the cage for a while, trying to get out, when i called the vet tech
said he was sleeping. I asked if he could come home & the vet tech said to
call back at 8:00 to talk to the vet.

At 8:00 the vet said they are trying to get Dakota to eat again and get him
off the IVs (not exactly sure what that meant), no more bloody poop. She
said to call back at 3:00 or 4:00 to get another update & hopefully he can
come home then!

I doubt he'll eat again soon, he's a rather sensitive lil guy. He gets
upset easily and stops eating. I'll probably have to force feed him, which
he hates!

I have decided NOT to give any of my Ferrets FERVAC ever again! Carol,
the lady who runs the ferret shelter, said she would vaccinate them with
Galaxy-D for me. Also i have a question: the emergency vet said not to
give him distemper shots again, ever. that sounded a bit extreme to me.
Can't canine distemper be spread indirectly like on your clothes or shoes?
If he doesn't get his shot, that would mean i couldn't go to animal shelters
or pet stores (maybe) or come in contact with any other dogs or ferrets i
don't know! I am I right?? Any Advice??

My outlook is that little things are the trip.
I'm very happy with very little.
Maybe that is why I have so much.
