Thank you from Support Our Shelters for the generous donations that are
arriving for the Utah ferrets.  They will be used to pay for vet expenses
and ferret supplies, and to reimburse the people who spent a great amount
of money to transport the ferrets away from Utah.
 
As of 11 p.m. tonight, Support Our Shelters has received:
 
$250.00 for ADV testing for Julie Fossa's ferrets
$423.32 through PayPal
$885.00 in checks
 
$400.00 has been sent to Jackie Hawley's vet for emergency care.
 
This gives us $908.32 available so far to use toward the $3,000 in
transportation expenses and the as yet unknown (but surely quite high)
cost of vet care and supplies.
 
We assume that donations are also being sent directly to the rescuers and
their vets.  I am still putting together one consolidated list of the
people who have the ferrets which I hope to be able to post tomorrow.  It
will contain their snail and email addresses, vet addresses, and a summary
of their needs.
 
A wonderful couple donated $500 even though it may mean they may not be
able to attend the ferret symposium.  Now that's sacrificial giving!
 
Many of the donations are small, and every donation makes a difference.
