Its responses like this to someone asking for information that make
people hesitate to speak up on the FML.  Does being a shelter owner/
rescue operation automatically make your opinion more "godlike" and
allow you to answer a very valid question with a distinctly "better than
thou" attitude???  I found this to be an arrogant and VERY rude answer
to someone who was asking a question.  Before you get pompous..  I'm
wondering WHY YOU are feeding (if you bother to read labels that is)
"Totally Ferret" when 8-1 Ultimate actually has better "first four"
ingredients than TF for around the same price and a higher protein count?
Just playing devil's advocate there (sick of having TF shoved at me as
the "only choice"..  I happen to disagree vehemently)!  For your
information, Innova Cat Food..  not EVEN the new EVO being discussed..
has better quality "first three" ingredients than Totally Ferret... as
follows:

-Chicken By Product Meal
-Rice Flour
-Egg Product
 
INNOVA FELINE
Turkey

Chicken
 
a higher protein and fat content, and the NEW Innova has an amazingly
LOW carb count AND superior quality first FIVE ingredients.  Hmmmmmm I
wonder WHY some of us actually use it as a mix with our ferret food and
have happy healthy ferrets as a result!!???
 
Re the first "four" ingredients "thing"...... I'd suggest if you are
interested.... reading a copy of the following:
 
Food Pets Die For: Shocking Facts About Pet Food" by Ann Martin.
 
While some of her opinions are a little over the top perhaps... this
gives a better understanding of exactly WHAT the terms "by-product",
"rendered", "product" "meal" etc. mean and mean to your pet's nutrition.
 
Until someone comes up with an incredibly superior ferret "kibble"..

seems.... dammit!!  WYSONG Beef Beef liver Chicken Chicken liver Ground
Bone 50.0% Protein 28.0% Fat 16.7% Carbs) I'll continue to add whatever
SEEMS to work best for the ferrets I love... and at the moment that would
be the NEW Innova EVO.  I also would hope, unlike some apparently..  to
keep an open mind about new innovations..  new ideas re ferret
nutrition.. and not jump anyone who DARES suggest an alternative!
