Please, please help me. My babies are sick. Right now they are in the
hospital. This all started when I got another ferret, Jake. Sophie and
Marty came down with diarrhea; it was green at first but we gave them
antibiotics and the green was gone. We separated Sophie and Marty from Jake
and their stools started to get harder. We thought they were getting
better. We put all three ferrets back together and Sophie and Marty got
sick again. Jake has not been sick at all. Their stools became runny but
not as green. They wouldn't eat and became dehydrated. The vet
hospitalized them and managed to get enough blood from Marty to do a full
blood workup on them. When I talked to the vet this morning, she said it
looked like there is some liver involvement, maybe hepatitis?! Can this be?
I just don't understand what's happening. Why do Marty and Sophie get sick
around Jake? Is he carrying something? Why isn't he sick? If there is
anyone at all who can help us it would be so greatly appreciated! Replies
can be sent to [log in to unmask] Thank you!
