Dr. Williams (and all others who might have advice),

I have 2 fuzzies: a 6 year old terror named Norkie and a 4 year old
copycat Sparky. Norkie, an albino, was diagnosed with heart problems 4
months ago. Norkie has a cough, irregular hearbeat, and abdominal
swelling. She is alos sleeping most the time. She gets 2 1/4 tablets of
encard a day as well as 1 1/4 tablet lassix a day. She eats on her own
Adult Science Diet and totally ferret with supplements of K/D, but she has
lost a lot of weight, except for her very swollen abdomen. My vet says
Norkie is in the last stages of the problem, and that it is only a matter
of time. The vet is giving fluids and interjection lassix, but doesn't
think anything else can be done for her. Is this it? Or can anythingelse
be done?Norkie does not seem to be in pain, but I don't want her to have
to go through some. My 8 year old sable Lucy died in Februrary of
Insulinoma and heart problems, well, the heart problems were the cause,
but she went through a lot with the insulinoma. I don't want Norkie to
have to suffer. If anyone has advice, please post her or email me.

Thanks,
Kathleen Boaz ([log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask])
