Early morning at the Bridge has Mully scurrying on his way to greet his
expected arrival, a very stately albino named Bugz was coming. The
Bridge was all aclammer about this new arrival, no one could remember
when the last time a ferret arrived who had spent so much time on earth
and had the opportunity to teach the humans so much; SO MUCH to teach
the humans and so little time.

The breeze picked up and Muldoone recognized the sameness of it, always
the wind blew just before an arrival, a soft warm breeze that danced
through his whiskers, it softly and lovingly caressed the backs of his
ears just like his hooman-mom used to do for him, a breeze that contained
the same warm peaceful sensation he got every time his human held him and
scritched under his chin for him. Mully let the breeze dance across his
nose and in his whiskers as he closed his eyes, allowing his thoughts
drift back to times his mom took him outside and sat and held him under
the big shade tree, just him and his mom, how he longed for those days
sometimes.

"MULDOONE, wake up snapped Nanna, our new arrival will be here any
second.

I be 'wake Nanna, me habe my eyes cwosed tinking bout sumptin, Mully
explained to his boss, what you be doin here for anyhows?

Well Muldoone, I heard we had an elderly ferret dignitary and I came
to make sure you gave him a proper greeting." Just then the sound of
ferrety feet could be heard coming across the Bridge and those feet
seemed to have plenty of spring to them, they did not sound like the
ferrety feets of an elderly fuzzy.

Muldoone stepped out to greet the new arrival. Skipping across the
planks of the Bridge came a big albino fuzzy. As he reached the end of
the Bridge he stopped and looked all around. "Wow, dis be da pwace my
mom tells me bout, she weads me a story bout it, 'cept she gets sad and
cwies when she tells me bout it."

"Welcomes to da Wainbow Bwidge, I be Mr. Muldoone, officialist Bwidge
gweeter and dis be Nanna my boss" Muldoone informs the new arrival
gesturing in Nanna's direction.

"I hears wots 'bout dis pwace" the new comer tells Nanna and Muldoone.

"Welcome Bugz, Nanna tells him, does it looks like what you have been
told about the Rainbow Bridge?

Oh no mam Bugz tells them Nanna, it be bunches more purrdier dan what da
hooman-beans says. And it smells so gud, I smells waisins and 'Tone,
cookies, bananners, I smells wots of yummy stuffs" Bugz tells them
getting all excited.

"Well Mr. Bugz, Nanna begins, we would be very interested in hearing all
about your life, you have lived much longer than most ferrets do and we
would love to hear all that you were able to teach your humans."

Bugz looked down at the ground and Muldoone noticed a tear glistening on
his powdery-white cheeks, "I not sur bout what I teaches dem Mz. Nanna
but my mom teaches me what it be wike to be woved. See, my hooman-bean
mom not want me to hab to comes here but I be sick and it be time for me
to comes here. Dey spends time wif me, first dey gibes me medcinies dat
taste yucky but make my pains not hurt and den they holds me cwose while
I sweep. Den they takes me to da doc for da shot dat bwings me here. My
mom cwy a wot and I wishes I makes her not to hurt, Mr. Muldoone, asks
Bugz, is dere some way you can shows me to helps my mom to not hurt, she
be a gud mom.

Sure kid, Mully informs the new arrival, I will show you how to peek in
on her as she sweeps and you can give her whisker kisses as she dweams.
Oh boy dat be gweat Bugz sings out and dances up and down, I can't waits
to bisit my mom and gibs her wisker kisses."
