Horse pellets are alfalfa based with corn, beetpulp and some other stuff.
I don't see what harm it would do to use as litter.  I've seen similar
types of litter sold.  The only thing I'd watch for is...make sure your
fuzzies are not eating it and change it frequently as I'm sure it will
attract bugs and probably is not as absorbent.  I'm sure it will smell
good though!
