Okay, I've checked on the status of Bill #5196.  It's in Ways and Means,
which is very wierd, since there's no money attached to it.  I was told
that the fact that it's stuck there means that someone is actively
preventing it from coming to a vote.
 
Call (617) 722-2000 to get the name of your Mass state senator & reps, and
tell them to get it out onto the floor.  Get mad!  Get someone else to call
if you're afraid.  Anyone who's ever considered moving to Massachusetts,
you also should call.  We don't have much time left in the current session.
