Hi all,

I saw a post yesterday recommending Gaia Herbs' essiac (now called "Sheep
Sorrel Burdock") as a remedy for insulinoma. This is not correct --
essiac will further lower the ferret's blood sugar, not elevate it.
Essiac is used to treat lymphoma/lymphosarcoma, not insulinoma. Giving
essiac to a ferret with insulinoma will only make the situation a lot
worse.

Gaia Herbs used to market a different product called "Devil's Club
Supreme" for the treatment of insulinoma, but that product has been
discontinued, unfortunately.

Just wanted to clear that up,
John
