My comments:

Yup, ferret food was put on the shelves for a reason : so ferret food
companies can make money. If they lost money selling ferret food, you
wouldn't be able to find it on the shelves, it's that simple.

We feed kibble because it's easy, not because it's the best food source
for our fuzzies. If you think the ferret food companies care about the
overall health and well-being of your ferret, remind yourself that the
fellows who run those companies are part of the same corporate America
who ran Enron and Adelphia into the ground. They're in it for the money.

The ONLY people who truly care about your ferret's health are you, your
vet, the editors of Modern Ferret, and the members of the FML. Don't
listen to Granny's health bulletin when it comes from the neighborhood
wolf. Feed your fuzzies what's healthiest for their unique physiology,
as best you can determine the best diet. Bob C.'s FML series of posts
on Diet are a great place to start, then talk to your vet. Then, do
what you gotta do for yourself and your babies.

Here's to open and free dissemination of information, always!
