I do not know "proper" amounts of garlic that a ferret should consume - but
everything I've ever heard about it for humans is that the raw form is the
best for the allocyn (?sp) which is what the "healing" aspect of garlic has.

Anyway from personal experience - our little male, Meep, loves raw garlic
and makes off with my head of garlic when he gets the chance. I know that
he eats it as well as stores it in his hidey hole under my drawer. Maybe
it keeps away Vampire Ferrets? <grin> So far as I've observed it hasn't
hurt him any -If anyone feels that it is dangerous for ferrets please let
me know.

PS When I want to use my garlic, I frequently have to go retrieve it!
Gotten so now I buy two heads in case one disappears.
