Hi friends
I just wanted to say that I didn't read the link from the post about the
kitten being b-b-q'd.  I was unlucky enough to see it on the news when it
happened.  I know that it's a true story and that without alot of support
probation will be the only punishment given.
 
When I watched that news report I bawled.  I can't believe the way so
many people are.  I have rescued ferrets in and around Liberty since it
is about 80 miles from me.  At first there was some outrage but then it
gets kinda like...
 
well, it's over and done with so why don't they just leave it alone?
I guess its people and reasoning like that that I now have
- 16 permanent ferrets that I love VERY much
- 10 dumped puppies that I and several shelters are looking for good
  forever homes for
- 8 large dumped dogs looking for a human of their own with land to run on
- 3 Shih-Tzu's that I had fixed and kept since they loved me as much as I
  love them
- 6 adult cats that I have had fixed and they can stay as long as they
  like too.
 
Remember when I told you I was lucky in that my husband had gotten
insurance on his wages a long time ago so that if he ever got hurt we
would be covered.  I thank God for that because when he got hurt 5
years ago we were able to start helping the pounds & rescue units.
 
I wish we could save them all but at least we have a voice to speak to
the prosecuting attorney's & judges on behalf of the animals.
 
I thank God for all of you.  I read about the sacrifices you make for
your babies.  I never hear anyone complaining because they have to take
care of their animals, just loving laughing comments on what their
furbaby did now, and what a joy they are.
 
I understand people like us, I don't understand the Charles Benoits of
the world.
 
I'm rambling because this really upset me.  I know I have to think about
it so that I can try to do something about it but my mind DOES NOT want
to.  It is sickening.
 
Thank you shelter moms and dads for all the love and sacrificing you do.
There is no greater love.
