My recommendation is yearly baths.
 
I haven't given mine a bath since May, and I'm not
planning to do it again, unless they get dirty with mud or
something, but as outdoor dirt doesn't seem to stick to
them, it's unlikely it'll happen.
 
If you bathe them, the fur gets dry and they produce more
grease and smell more. If you don't, their fur gets more
beautiful and they smell less.
