I received an email the other day asking about the problem my albino male
had with what was originally thought to be a missing kidney and the other
enlarged. Which an ultrasound showed to be two pretty kidneys but this
mass growing next to the one. He went back Monday for his second
ultrasound and the scan showed the mass had grown quite a bit. We decided
to operate as soon as possible, which was yesterday. I really wanted to
wait til after Xmas, but that was strictly for my own selfish reasons of
wanting him to be up and playing. But, I was terrified the mass would
continue to fill with fluid and burst.

So he went in yesterday, came through with flying colors. Only lost a
moderate amount of blood and was allowed to come home last night. I am
work at this moment and he is curled up in the carrier under my desk. His
tummy looks terrible, but... He is sleeping quite a bit but is actually
pretty active who just had his insides rearranged, removed and explored!!

Thanks to everyone who has asked about him. He is quite young, less than 2
years and we expect no problems. Will post when the biopsy comes back on
this growth though.

Holiday hugs to everyone,

Jen and Gang
