Big I hope you dont mind if I post a 1-800 number - some people asked for
it direct but I cant seem to respond to their computers for whatever
reason. The number for Designs in Stone in Ambler PA is 1-800-878-6631.
Make sure you ask them to send the ferret outline with their pamphlet so
you can see it.

My vet is leaving town - she does almost all the ferrets here. I was
"interviewing" a prospective new vet and here is a bit of his conversation.
Am I being to hard on the guy? Mary "do you see many ferrets and have you
attended any ferret seminars at vet conferences?" Dr. "well no I haven't
attended any seminars but I have lots of books - actually they're a lot like
cats...I have about 15 ferrets that I see" More conversation, more
insertions of the "just like cats" comment. Mary "Do you know what ECE is
and have you seen any here in Michigan yet?" Dr. "No - what is that?" Mary
"umm cant remember the long scientific term (I was at work and didn't have
my files) but it is characterized by green mucosoy diareha-" Interrupted by
Dr. "oh - that thing they think is bacterial - probably related to
camphofactor" Me "ummm no I think they think its viral". Dr. doesn't seem
to think that insists is what he said. Generally I don't think he seemed
interested in pursuing a lot of ferret knowledge and isn't a candidate. The
quest continues.

I forgot who left the post about the ferret who has suddenly started leaving
presents on floor - well of course - you mentioned its right in a heavy
traffic area going somewhere you have blocked off! The ferret wants in and
is letting you know:) Good luck - I have not been able to stop this type of
behavior - hence the carpet runner and newspaper in front of my glass slider
going on to the back porch.

I was wondering - has anyone done an informational thing in front of a pet
store? The greyhound rescue people have done that here in town - set up a
card table with their greyhounds in front of Pet Discount and passed out
info. I thought that might be a good way to spread information to the still
relatively uninformed here in Michigan - are their legal ramifications?
