1 - Fact - whole males stink ONLY when in season - when not in season they
don't stink any more or less than a neutered male.

If you have your male vasectomized rather than neutered, the only difference
between that ferret and a whole male is that one is fertile and the other
isn't. The vasectomized hob will still stink when in season, will still be
looking to mate when in season, and essentially will have the aggressive
nature of a whole male looking to breed with a jill.

Unless you are a breeder, why would you want to vasectomize rather than
neuter? I don't really see any advantage, in fact, IMO, I see it as a
disadvantage because you will still have to put up with a stinky ferret in
season, he'll still be marking with smelly urine, and you probably will have
to keep him separated from other ferrets when he is in season.

If you have allergies to a whole ferret, then the best action to take would
be to neuter (no need to descent).
