>Anybody got an idea how to stop this between the dog and fert? Thanks....

Of course...get rid of the dog! :)

There *is* one other possible option. First, put some ferretone on the
dog's legs. The ferret will then take the time (provided the ferret likes
ferretone, that is!) to lick the ferretone off. If this is done several
times in a short period of time, the ferret could get used to considering
the dog as something other than a self-propelled ferret toy.

As for getting the dog to stop flinging the ferret around, you might try
asking your vet to recommend something that is as disagreeable to dogs as
bitter apple is to ferrets. Put some of this on the ferret and the dog
*should* stop grabbing and flinging the ferret. If the ferret stops biting
the dog and the dog is deterred from biting the ferret, they may end up
getting along together.

Of course, they may not *always* be good to each other, but maybe they can
learn to tolerate each other better than they do now! :)
