Julie, I can see why you are worried. Sned definately has a problem.
When I think of how many hours of a ferrets day are spent on the
important tasks of sleeping, sleeping, and sleeping - it makes me wonder
how he divides his time up among the 39 stuffed charges in his care.
How sad and yet how common that the little ones get his attention. It
is common for hoarders to not accept help in properly caring for their
animals, which is too bad since you have other fuzzies willing to lend
a paw. Hmmm, I'm especially worried about those with loose stitching -
is Sned aware that they need medical, um seamstres, care? There is hope,
it is legal and safe to ship these animals out of the area for help.
However, shelters all over are full. And of course this doesn't address
Sned's hoarder problems. Unfortuanely, the summer season is upon us and
with yard sales, open car windows, and family outings the number of lost,
needy stuffed animals is only going to increase. I fear that Sned will
not stop at 39 and will continue to take in more animals, furthering the
neglect that you are already witnessing. I hope others can offer advice
for you, I can only offer support.

Risa
PS Best wishes for Tarin the mouse!
