Hello all! I just recently adopted a ferret from a shelter and, because
he was a rescue ferret, the shelter has no record of any vaccinations.
The other day I took him in for what we believe was his first distemper
shot. I plan on going back in two weeks for his rabies vaccination and
the vet wanted to give him a follow up distemper ( I know NO rabies and
distemper shots at the same time). Is this normal? I know that with my
first ferret, which was purchased at a pet store they did a distemper and
then two weeks later another distemper. I was just wondering if this was
a normal procedure. WE do not know how old this guy is, but the vet says
he is still fairly young.

Any responses before April 2nd would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
