The last one has gone,
all that are left are just mine.
Who will I go to?
Who will help the others?
There still are those needing help!
 
Help, but no one to turn to, to trust.
Just today, a friend called me,
Her little one has a disease that
is antibiotic resistant.
But no one to trust to go to?
 
Where will we go?
Why did they bring personal issues?
Why did they not look to the good of all?
 
What happened to the laughter?
Can we not put aside our differences?
If not just for their sakes?
 
How many more have to leave?
Even now, I wonder why I stay.
Seems there is nothing more to share,
Just ridicule and criticism.
 
Can we not grow up, before it is too late!
The ferrets will suffer in the end NOT us.
The owners will no longer feel safe in asking.
Will no longer look to find help and answers.
Will no longer consider it a safe place.
 
What will it take, before it all ends.
