I have a ferret that is very shy and timid, he does not associate with my
other ferrets, but loves to chew on plastic bags...this ferret is new to
the family from a shelter...his past history is, a family had him and a
cage mate together for 3 years, to roam around, both ferrets were given
up to a shelter.  The cage mate died while only being at the shelter for
3 weeks.  He eats only mush food.  Any suggestions on why he likes to
chew on plastic bags?  I am so afraid he is going to shallow some of the
plastic.
 
Please advise.
