Interviewer FERRETER: Yes, I understand Mr. Lipinski you just got back from
the Washington State Ferret Association meeting and picnic held at Klahanie
Park in Issaquah, Washington.
 
FERRETER: Issaquah?  What a strange name.  What's it mean?
 
EL: Not sure.  Word is the first settler out her to see an Indian maiden
asked the question: Its a squaw?  Somehow that got corrupted to "Issaquah?"
 
FERRETER: OK.  So you returned to your own ferret community.  What's new
with the Washington State Ferret Association?
 
EL: Yep; just got home in my 28-year old Volkswagen station wagon square
back that I just yesterday fixed with a piece of string and some Fixodent
denture adhesive.
 
FERRETER:  Well, as interesting as that sounds, some other time, OK?
 
EL: OK.  About the WSFA -The director announced that he has to quit his
duties and hopes to get a coalition of three WSFA members to assume the
duties of the office of the director.
 
FERRETER:   Why?
 
EL: The director has got another job now and feels he can't be both a good
director and do his new job well too.  So he's resigning effective... I
don't know.
 
FERRETER: How are the three members that are to make up the directorship
coalition going to be chosen?
 
EL: Don't know.
 
FERRETER: Anything else going on that may be having an impact here?
 
EL: Director spoke to ineffectivness of keeping the WSFA Web page updated
and the demise of the Washington State Ferret Report.
 
FERRETER: What's wrong with the Washington State Ferret Report?  Isn't that
the email correspondence network that was on the internet for a while?
 
EL: Yes.  No more discussion group under the heading of the Washington
State Ferret Report.  Can't get a reliable person to run it, so it seems.
 
FERRETER:   What about the WSFA Web page updating?
 
EL: Same problem I guess: nobody of knowledge to do the necessary work.
 
FERRETER: What's the future of the WSFA, the WSFR, and the WSFA Web page?
 
EL: Director says that out of 100 members there must be some few
individuals who can come forth and volunteer to do the necessary work to
keep the WSFA up and running.
 
FERRETER: What are you going to do about this Edward?
 
EL: Not much.  Don't know web page setup & maintenance from a spider web.
 
FERRETER: What about helping out as a party to the directorship triad?
 
EL: Hmmm; have to think about that.  I would think that each party to the
triad would have to be nominated from the floor and voted on when a quorum
is present.
 
FERRETER: When would that be?
 
EL: Don't know.  A quorum has not been present at the last two membership
meetings that I attended.  Hard to understand why people join but hardly
ever show up at the meetings.
 
FERRETER: Thanks Edward for your report.  Now you can go back and continue
to review the Ferret - L Digest.  Says here that your last reading was on
