I wanted to post an update on the mom and baby from the KiSta Ferret
Shelter.

My daughter picked out the little boy who is now almost 12 weeks old and
quite a 'stocky' little guy!! He has been named Pooh Bear and has a
wonderful personality and loves being in a big ferret family!! He has
gotten large enough that he is living fulltime with the group. But, from
day one he was exposed to three of my very laid back, sweet ferrets. He
picked out Barney to be his best bud - Barney is half of the pair of old
guys who arrived on my doorstep this past January. Barney is at least 4
pounds and over 5 years old. He lets Pooh do whatever he wants then gives
him a headbutt to roll him across the floor! A funny sight to see!

The mom, Teresa is doing much, much better. She went quite postal after
being separate from the babies. Her spay surgery was this past Friday and
she is recovering fantastically!! I was a little worried because she is
3.5-4 years old, but she has been a ball of energy. She is quite upset
with me being stuck in the small recovery cage. I did not have her
descented, so time shall tell......

A very special thank you to everyone who purchased items from the Teresa
Spay Fund auctions on ebay. They were wildly successful, so much so that
the surgery was paid for completely, plus there was money to turn over to
KiSta! Thanks so very much! Several bids were quite generous!

And another thank you to Kim Rushing for allowing Tori to have her pick
of the babies. Tor was thrilled bringing home Pooh and he has been so
terribly spoiled since! But he is definitely an example of how important
it is to socialize and handle the kits from a young age. We have had no
nipping or misbehaving, he is very lovable, extremely social and already
understands that it is okay to touch with his teeth when playing, but no
biting!

So, I'll stop rambling.... but I am attaching a recent pic or two of Pooh,
just to show off our beautiful little boy!
