Question that I can't find answer to on in internet or in archives..if a
ferret is bitten by a tick, what would some of the resulting symptoms of
infection be?

My boy has been acting strange today - extra tired and lethargic, but not
in a strong way, just a barely noticeable change. I'm wondering if he
was bit by a tick or something outside and I didn't notice? He was last
outside about a month ago.

I plan on taking him to the vet if this lethargy continues, but I'd like
to have some ideas when I go...maybe he's just been staying up too late
watching TV, hehehehe. Ticks come to mind because I saw a picture of one
biting a dog today and it looked exactly like this weird "blood bubble"
thingy I saw on the boy's forehead maybe 2 weeks ago, except in the
picture the tick was white and this thing I saw was red. It disappeared
the next day and I thought nothing more of it. Now I wonder if I'm a
complete idiot and I didn't recognize a tick (I've never seen one
before!!). But that was about 2 weeks ago...

(Also weird - he's normally a timid boy, but he's been downright skittish
the past week, even running away from us when we enter a room or
startling very easily. Has that happened to any of you before??)

Thanks,
Emily
