Please please please help.
I was adopted by a stray cat about 10 days ago. I am having a very hard
time trying to introduce her to my ferrets. The ferret cage is still in
the living room where the cat roams free. She has not gone to the cage
but for a few times and sniffsniffed.

The ferrets are very very inquisitive and eager to meet her but she will
have no part of it.

The couple of times that I have held the ferrets and brought them to the
cat the cat has hissed if they got too eager and close and then swatted
(albeit not with her claws out which I take to be a good sign)

My problem is I want to be able to let the ferrets out into their former
free-roaming space because they need more space than just romping in my
bedroom.

Also the cat is in need of more companionship when I am at work and I feel
that the introduction of the ferrets would help her adjust better to living
in an apartment instead of running about free outside.

Any advice anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!
