help needed with ear mites and clean up

My ferret spaz has ear mites.  I will be treating all 20 of my little
monsters with injectable ivomec 1%.  But my question is how do i prevent
them?  What should i use to clean their room and cage with?  Should i
wash all of their toys?  Is it safe for them to play in shredded paper
or rice with the ear mites?  What is a good detergant to kill the ear
mites in the bedding?
