Question about nail growth

My 5.5 yr old female ferret has been growing her nails out like crazy!
She has adrenal, diagnosed a year ago.  We did one round of Lysodren which
worked really well, but that was 11 months ago.  She has slight hair loss
right now, and she is skinny.  Does adrenal disease cause nails to grow
faster and thicker?  All of her bloodwork has been normal also.
