I tried something today that really got my ferret's attention. I went to
the pet store (exotic bird department) and bought dried fruit consisting
of dried raisins, banana chips, pineapple, apricot, etc. I placed the mix
in a blender and added about half a cup of water. The result was a sweet
mushy sauce (consistency of applesauce). They loved it - I sampled it
myself and it WAS GOOD! I only gave them a little as a treat but wanted
to share. It is much cheaper than buying the standard ferret treats.
Someone mentioned that fruit might not be good for their health... is
this true?
