As an afterthought.... both Lupron and Prednisone are available through
prescription ONLY.
 
The prednisone is a medication usually given by mouth, (tho sometimes, at
least to humans, can be IV or IM injects).  Lupron is given by injection
only..  and in the muscle, not subcutaneous.
 
It sounds as though it would probably be better for you and Tweaky to
have your Vet give him the Lupron if he feels Tweaky could benefit from
it post-op.  Still having a 'senior moment' on the pain med name... if I
find a neuron that will fire, I'll e you it.
