Yes, most of the time ferrets get insulinoma rather than diabetes, but
they can and do get diabetes as well.  Sometimes it's an after effect of
surgery for insulinoma, sometimes it arises spontaneously.  The signs of
diabetes in ferrets would be similar to the signs of diabetes in other
species - increased thirst, weight loss, sugar in the urine, lots of
urine, high blood sugar, etc.
