Rainbow Bridge, what beautiful a place you are.  There is not another place
for our guys as great as you.  You have received my love ones one by one.
Today you will see a new little one.  His name is Smudge, you'll know him
by his crazy personality.  Smudge never showed any sickness and has never
been ill.  He had losted hair some but was told through the vet that he was
in great health.  The nite before Easter he started having some problems.
I stayed up all nite holding him.  I knew by his face that he was coming
to the bridge.  It was so sudden.  In my arms, once I held a ferret so full
of energy.  Now I held a ferret that was still and stared at me.  His eyes
told me his time was now.I brushed him lightly and layed him in some soft
blankets.  I held him to my heart and spoke of the bridge.  What a
wonderful place you will see.  Knowing I didn't want to say GoodBye, I told
him I one day would follow him and be with him and all my other guys again.
Smudge would want me to be happy.  And to tell all other ferret owners how
beautiful the Rainbow Bridge is.  Please if you have a ferret, daily tell
them how much you love them.  Don't have them sit in a cage alone, if you
get where you do not have the time to spend with them.  Please invite
someone who can or find them a home where they can.  Some of these guys
have such short little lives and being in a cage is hard.  Give them
treats, but most of all give them love.  Love is free and there is so much
to go around for everyone.  Everyone here would have loved Smudge.  I will
miss him, but part of him will alway's remind near and dear in my heart.
My heart goes to all who have a sick little one or has losted one.  But
especially for the ones who have never got the opportunity to love one,
like myself.
