Ishka.

Your situation sounds identical to mine back in May. I have two boys, one
is an old timer, 7ish, and the youngster is a year and half. A 5 month old
little girl came to us from New Zealand, who, at her tender young age, was
the bossiest little thing you would ever want to see! No matter what I
did, an introduction resulted in screams and poop flying everywhere. It
got so bad that all I had to do was hold one in each arm and move them
towards each other and the boys would start to scream.

After 2 months, I finally got the younger male and the little girl to
cohabitate. Mind you, there were still 'discussions' but at least they
were in the same cage. What was funny, was that when out, the younger male
(Snorkle) was very protective of the old timer and would beat the bejesus
out of Tuzigoot if she got too tough with the older male, Garret, but in
the cage, she ruled supreme.

She and Garret just wouldn't accept each other. September finally came
and still no truce between Tuzi and Garret. I had tried everything..
Bitter Apple, coating both liberally with Ferretone, baths, changing cage
accessories, etc. Then, desparation time came..the new H&S Designs cage
arrived. They all had to live together, no getting around it. So..in they
went and I stood by, waiting for the inevitable fight to start. I waited,
and waited, and waited and....................Nothing happened! They
explored and ran up and down (3 level) the levels and finally all three
fell asleep, in 1 big ball on the middle level.

I have heard no squabbles since. They act as if they have been the best of
buds forever. The interesting part is that before I took down the old
cages, (nice, 2 level cages) I put Tuzi and Garret back in, with the 'new'
towels and bedding. Almost immediately, a 'discussion' ocurred, complete
with poofed tails, scent gland discharge from Tuzi (She is a whole female)
and poop everywhere from Garret. I quickly put them back in the new cage
and immediately, they went up top and started to groom each other.

I gave up. <GRIN>
