I was a subscriber to Modern Ferret also.  The Modern Ferret magazine is
no longer published at this time.  It doesn't sound like it will be any
time soon.  They did have some health and money problems.  They do put
out a great free newsletter and in one of the previous newsletters they
addressed why they weren't putting out the magaizine anymore.
 
If you click on the link below and click on Newsletter #53, you can get
more information from the authors (Mary and Eric) about the magazine no

They also had a good article lately on ferret medical care expenses.

There is a place to join up for the free news letters also, if you would
like.  I really do miss Modern Ferret, it was a great magazine.
