To Steve and Suki Crandall:

Sorry to have to broadcast results, but you didn't send your email
address along with Ruffles' biopsy, and I am notoriously bad at keping
addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses around...

Anyway, it's good news for all concerned. Letter follows...
Best to everyone...

"Ruffles"
Case No. 95-229

Haired skin: Sebaceous epitheliomas, multiple, ferret, mustelid.

COMMENT: Sebaceous epithelioma is the most common cutaneous neoplasm of
the ferret. These are benign neoplasms composed primarily of basal cells, a
percentage of which exhibit sebaceous differentiation. These tumors
occasionally occur in multiple sites, and affected animals may develop
additional tumors over time. Surgical excision of all neoplasms appears
complete; the prognosis is good.
